Watercolor Workshop - Instructors Roberta and Javier

Let the colors of Tuscany inspire your palette during this peaceful, week-long watercolor retreat with Javier and Roberta. Hosted at the rustic and welcoming Villa Poggio Bernone, this small-group experience blends traditional techniques with fresh artistic exploration—all surrounded by olive groves, golden hills, and timeless Italian charm.

Throughout the 7-day retreat, you’ll learn to prepare your own natural watercolors from raw pigments, explore drawing fundamentals, and develop your painting through guided exercises and studio sessions. Each step draws from historic methods passed down through medieval art treatises, giving you a deeper connection to the materials and the process itself.

Guests stay in thoughtfully appointed private or shared rooms, each with a spacious en-suite bathroom (toilet, shower, vanity, and a bidet). When not in the studio, you’ll enjoy local excursions, relaxing afternoons by the pool, and family-style meals lovingly prepared from fresh, seasonal ingredients.

This retreat offers far more than technical instruction—it’s a week to slow down, rekindle your creativity, and share the joy of painting in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Ticket Fees & Payment Processing

When purchasing tickets through our website, a 2.5% ticket service fee will be added at checkout. This fee goes directly to our event platform and is non-refundable.

Travel Insurance 

All participants are required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to attending the retreat. This insurance should include, but is not limited to: coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, medical emergencies, personal injury, loss of personal belongings, and travel delays. Tuscany Unveiled is not responsible for any costs incurred due to lack of insurance or insufficient coverage. Proof of travel insurance may be requested prior to the start of the retreat.
